20. Roaming Freely
Not talking about in the house. Back then, the neighbourhood kids would meet up, at someone’s lawn or at the big tree in the park, and we would roam and discover abandoned houses and cool sheds. We’d go missing for a whole day and it was fine. Okay today that wouldn’t be so cool.
Every mother in town would probably be frantic and reporting “Missing Child” and have faces plastered on every lamp post. When we roamed freely, we didn’t need cellphones or GPS. We had each other and we sure explored and knew the whole town!
