17. Girl Bands/Boy Bands
Our walls were filled with posters of our main crush (James Dean? Madonna?). And that main crush was surrounded by walls of girl bands or boy bands so it wasn’t too obvious to the parents who we were crushing on! Before there was the Spice Girls and All Saints and Destiny’s Child, there were Bananarama, Salt-n-Pepa, Sweet Sensation and Pointer Sisters.

If you listened to them while growing up, I think you’re cool! Their songs were innocent, usually sweet and healed our heartaches when the boy you liked didn’t smile at you back!
