On November 24, 1971, D.B Cooper highjacked a plane that was flying from Portland, Oregan to Seattle, Washington, mid-flight. He stole $200,000, instructed the crew on what speed and what height to fly at and jumped from the plane. The crew described him as very polite, and very calm. While most of the money he took was found, he never was. Nobody even knows if DB Cooper was his real name!
55. 1952: The Grauballe Man
In Jutland, Denmark, the Grauballe Man was discovered in 1952. He was believed to have lived 290 BC. His body was so perfectly preserved by the bog he was found in that the researchers could take his fingerprints. When he was found, it was determined that his death had been caused by his throat being slit from ear to ear. Researchers believed it to be a ritualistic killing.
