25. 1978: Wayne Gacy and First Lady Rosalynn Carter
At the 1978 Polish Freedom Day Parade, First Lady shook hands and took a photo with the then respected businessman Wayne Gacy. 7 months later, 29 bodies of men and boys were dug up on Gacy’s property. He had raped and murdered them all, as well as 4 others. He was only able to meet the First Lady on clearance from the CIA, considering that he was sentenced to death, they musn’t have looked too hard to clear him.
