Remember these Classic Songs from the 1980s?

1980s music had its epic moments. It was one decade where it was really cheap to record music so a lot of music was being produced at the time. It was also an era where there was a steady influx in new digital instruments and recording equipment. This led to a lot of crazy experimentation amongst musical artists who had zero experience in the equipment they were using. A lot of this experimentation went awry, while some of it was absolute genius.

The good thing was, amongst all this craziness, the talent still managed to shine through the dozens of layers of digital reverb and delay. It was a decade of decadence in every way deemed possible with poufy-haired man ballads, cocaine being tossed around in the back stages of events and big splashy snare drums that was all the talk.

At the very end of this wretched decade, Guns N’ Roses managed to bail everyone out and save us all as the ’90s started.

Let’s check out the complete list of every number one song from the beginning of January 1980 to the end of December 1989.
